It is unusual to hear the inside story.
Expect someone to leave to take up other business interests.

Everyone knows they are a shambles and a laughing stock. There must be a core of lads creaming fortunes off them every week.
You can back the Appleby 2 year olds blind first time but they go backwards at a rate of knots after that. Friend of mine breaks their yearlings and he says they are soft as putty. You can do SFA with them or they will fall apart.

My impression is their top people are all good looking, well spoken, public school types.

The fact that one of Godolphin's very own trainers has went public to expose the disarray in the camp tells you just how bad things are. The trouble starts at the very top if you ask me. You have an owner who has too much money to burn and no clue about horse racing. It's a recipe for disaster.

Appleby has been doing a much better job than Suroor, Mr Suroor may find that he's not as indispensable or beloved as he thought he was.

don't know if godolphin are the shambles which they are perceived to be, 28 group winners so far this year world wide including 7 group 1 winners - jack hobbs, cloth of stars, thunder snow, ribchester, polarisation, dickenson . I know a lot of them are abroad but there are some woeful group races in Ireland/uk also.

Surely Ribchester is the biggest penalty kick of Ascot

I think hes rated a tad over the top, like laugh aloud a lot

    John Ferguson just resigned

Joe Osborne MD of Godolphin in Ireland will take over on an interim basis

Ferguson was too intelligent for that lot. Hopefully he'll go back training again - proper flat horses, and not just flat throw-outs whose NH careers were very limited.

Sounds like Fergusson was in a nightmare position with Sheihk Mo on one side and an unwilling Bin Suroor on the other. He is capable of having success on his own provided he gets the right stock. Getting flat cast offs to throw over hurdles can only get you so far.

I expected changes, but not that quickly.
