Repairing Bitumin DPC

Renovating the house at the moment and had all the downstairs radiator pipes hidden in the ground. They were previously running along all the walls.

The plumbers cut the trenches and laid the pipework. The deal was that I would fill in the holes myself.

When they started digging they came across the dpc at about 30mm which I wasn't expecting.

Now I need to fill the trenches with cement to cover the pipework.

How should I deal with the dpc? Does it need to be repaired and if so how?

I'd head over to the Construction forum with this one.
