    ROAD TRAFFIC (SPECIAL SPEED LIMITS) (RESIDENTIAL ESTATES) COUNTY OF SLIGO BYE-LAWS, 2017

    Notice is hereby given that Sligo County Council, in exercise of the powers vested in it by Section 9 of the Road Traffic Act, 2004 intends to introduce a special speed limit of 30km/h on public roads in certain Residential Housing Estates in County Sligo.

    The primary purpose of these Bye-Laws is to improve road safety for the residents and the general public and to ensure road traffic speeds are appropriate to their environment.

    “Draft” Bye-Laws have been prepared and will be available for inspection at the Customer Service Area, County Hall, Riverside, Sligo during normal office hours Monday to Friday for a 30 day period from the date of first publication of this Notice.

    Objections or submissions regarding the Draft Bye-Laws should be made in writing to:-

    Director of Infrastructural Services,
    County Hall,
    Riverside,
    Sligo
    or by email to speedlimitreview@sligococo.ie.

    The latest date for receipt of objections or submissions regarding this matter is 4pm on Monday, 3rd July, 2017.

    All for estates to be dropped to 30kph. Plenty of other roads they could review as well.
