streaky gloss paint on walls

we went for a pretty strong color in a small room, paint is semi-gloss.
we are very happy with it, except for the streaks.

We used harris paint pads to paint it, just one coat with a few small touch ups in spots we missed.

in the evening with the lights on, its very noticeably streaky.

We are going to give it another coat. would we be better to use a roller or is there some way to reduce streaking?

your right, its not total matt, its one step up from that, kind of a semi gloss.

reading up online, i think my technique is the problem. we painted, and as we spotted patches we missed, we painted over them.
Need to go over it again with a roller, and paint it properly without going over spots again and again

    Mid sheen emulsion?
Never heard of gloss on walls.

Use a roller on the second coat

Edit; just read your post that you know to use a roller... enjoy :)

Yep, use a roller and work from the wet edge and then let it all dry completely. Once it has dried/started to dry, going over it again will make it patchy
