So most will know there are numerous European shows which this Walter chap recommends on the 4od site which we can legally watch in Ireland.

I watch plenty of European dramas so looking for what people here have seen that was good that was on the below Walter site.:)

I've watched 'acquitted' which I enjoyed but one or two glaring story holes.

    'Case' was excellent.

    'Black widow' was very good.

I enjoyed 'the outlaws' but it's a bit of a comedy farce.

Edited to add. I've also throughly enjoyed the 'this is England' series on the 4od app.

Just finished Locked Up, which was enjoyable. Way over the top, but very watchable.

    Deutschland 83 is just fantastic.
    Spin is very good.
    Blue Eyes was ok.
Dicte is decent for that genre.
It's been a while since I watched Mammom but remember thinking it was alright.

Magnification 70, Deutschland 83 and The Outlaws are the pick if the bunch for me. I just finished Locked Up last night also. It's ludicrous but very addictive.

Thicker than Water is very good. Like a Scandinavian Bloodline.

    Spin is decent.

Blue Eyes is well worth a watch. If Midnight Sun is on there I'd recommended it too.

You reminded me I saw 'Thicker than Water' too. I loved it . Really beautifully shot and gorgeous to look at. Now I think there was a slight translation error in the amounts of money that were talking about at one stage. But I just had to ignore that.

They're in Aland, which is an autonomous part of Sweden and uses euros, but in some scenes they're implicitly talking about sums in Kronor.

I watched Eye Witness a Norway noir style show on this a while ago.

Its perfectly fine, but my initial feeling that it would be something special petered out quickly enough.

Currently watching Mafiosa, its decent enough, but I suspect they are plenty of superior crime dramas out there to consume.

    It's s beautiful place.
Was the kroner in reference to where the brother had the restaurant ?

I think the money amounts discussed varied by a factor of ten.... maybe the euro/kroner discrepancy accounted for this.

Which season was that in? If I remember right that was the first season and his restaurant was in Stockholm so amounts would be about 8 times higher than in Finland.

    Finished Mafiosa.

Silly at times and not exactly groundbreaking, but very entertaining crime drama, recommended.

Might be an idea to use this thread for Walter Presents TV show?:)

Thicker than water was brilliant. I wonder when they will be showing Season 2 ?

Thought I'd give this thread a bump. Recently I've watched:

Mammon (S2) - Watched this on RTE, but it's on WP too. Thought it was very good.
Magnifica 70 - Thought this was just excellent. Completely different, but intriguing.
The Team - Decent fare, very watchable.

Going to give Acquitted a look now.

I'm just watching Before we die, really liking it so far and I've heard it gets better as it goes on.

My favourites from WP would be Deutschland 83 as most have said already and since they finished filming Deutschland 86 in January, fingers crossed we'll have something by the end of the year/ early next year!

Black Widow and Professor T are great.

Rebecka Martinsson, Norskov, The Swingers & Nicks Law are all worth a watch too. :)

Yeah , really enjoyed all episodes of Before we Die .

Anybody who hasn't seen it yet but who wants to watch Rebecka Martinsson , it'll only be available for the next 2 weeks for some reason .

Yeah I noticed that, wonder why that is?? Strange since some shows are on there indefinitely.

I wonder if it makes a difference that Rebecka Martinsson was shown as a full series on More4 ?

Aside from usung a hdmi cable from the PC which keeps freezing, what’s the best way to get WP? Can you get via now tv or saorview?

I've never used Now TV but have a read here -
    http://www.channel4.com/4viewers/faq/name/find-all-4-on-now-tv/id/503564946

Not sure if there's a difference between using Now TV in Ireland vs UK .

Other ways to view All 4 -
    http://www.channel4.com/4viewers/viewers-voice/how-to-watch-all-4

I use the All 4 app built in to my Smart TV .

Watching All 4 shouldn't just make a pc freeze though .
