Ride or replace?

So, after some time off the bike I'm trying to get going and, with some hard work, back up to speed again.

First thing I'd planned to help me was to change out the 53/39 chainset on my bike for a semi-compact I have at hand but while cleaning it before fitting I noticed this damage around the pedal threads.

It looks like a spreading crack to me (sad panda), which puts me in mind of replacing it rather than risk having it fail during use (like some FSA carbon units a few years back) but I'm interested in getting some boardsie opinions. 'It's grand, ride it' or 'Not grand, replace it'? What do you think?

It looks like a simple crack in the clear coat/lacquer. The BB casing is a fairly robust part of the bike and I don't think that it's going to cause any problems. The BB shell is bonded into the frame and the cracked area represents a tiny % of the bonded area. I would continue to use the bike but keep an eye on it. If it were me I'd fill the area with superglue which is brittle when hard and after a few spins check to see if there are any cracks in the superglue or if the existing crack has spread further.
