Hope all goes well today for the riders...considering the lack of practice laps this year i'd hate to see anyone coming a cropper because of something silly...Hutchy was lucky he didnt end up in a wall...
Good interview with McGuinness last night on ITV4...very emotional...
Cant get me head around Guy Martin, in the interview he seemed like his heart is gone for racing..

Well, i'm not suprised at Guy crashing,i had a bad feeling about him.. bike or human error..??? Either way i think he should give it up ..just my opinion..
Cracking superbike race...Hope Davey Lambert and Lee Johnston are ok..
Hutchy was brilliant but you could see him struggle with the bike a bit....

I read he his a false neutral on the downshift.

I also think his heart is not in it any more. That Honda needs a lot of refining by the looks of it.

That Honda has also damaged McGuinness, and Casey Stoner.
Soichiro Honda must be spinning in his grave at this point, Honda used to put huge effort into their IOM entry and at this point there must be serious doubts as to whether it's suitable for road racing as its certainly not in any way competitive in WSBK as it currently stands.

Considering Dunlop having an issue with his GSXR....i'm thinking not enough testing of the new bikes..

Thats definately true of the GSXR, but the new 'Blade is not exactly a ground up redesign. Considering the throttle sticking was also the cause of Casey Stoners crash in the Suzuka 8hr back in 2015 it should be faultless now. Instead McGuinness had the same problem (allegedly).

    Very sad news...

Yip, sad indeed. I wonder is there a correlation with the reduced practice due to weather conditions?

could be down to the track being very green due to all the rain, hasn't had a chance to rubber in all week

sounds like a bad crash for Hutchy, taken to hospital with leg injuries.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 8,594 ✭✭✭funkey_monkey

Is it the same leg he messed up on the short circuits?

Didnt check, but from looking at the race he was pushing himself along the ground with his right leg.....

Bit of a disasterous meeting this year...hope the organisers have learned something from this...maybe get the bikes over a week earlier for practice...

Very sad. They did die doing what they loved to do but it's still too much.

They might think it's great but what about the effect it has on all the emergency crews that have to clean up after them and try to save or revive them?

    Live long and Prosper

    Peace and long life.
