    Hi Guys,
I've been running 3 amiko mini HD combo boxes for the past few years. Out of curiosity I picked up a triple tuner Amiko Alien 2 the other day to play with. I've tried a few differrent E2 images, but am having trouble finding something stable. It ended up looping the box so i reset, recovered Spark, and am now on Hyperion 5.4.

I've no interest in using it for anything other then freesat and saorview. Its heartbreaking going through multiple searches, and getting rid of the hundreds of unwanted channels. Would anyone have an image that would suit? I'm based in Glanmire, Cork for saorview purposes.

I've been using hyperion 4.5 for this purpose for a good few years and it's quite stable.

Can organise getting image to you later on if you want. You'll just need to tune in your own saorview channels

That would be superb, I'd really appreciate it.

Getting to grips with it now. I like how flexible it is. Running openATV 5.3 now, and I'm delighted with it.

Is anyone using an AA2 to stream saorview and freeview to other appliances? I seem to only be able to stream to a single device at a time and was wondering if I could use it headless and increase this to at least 2?

There are only 3 tuners on the box, one terrestrial and 2 satellite.
you should hot have problems streaming if you are only using that number of tuners.

note that if you are watching a sat channel on the TV and trying to stream 2 other sat channels that will not work (well it might if any 2 of the 3 are using the same mux).

Other issues you might have are the wifi signal not being sufficient for all the traffic (especially if the box has a wifi dongle)

I have the 3 tuners connected and am using Ethernet so speed and quality seems fine. I actually want to dedicate this box to streaming and connecting the first client works fine and I can switch stations okay but the second client can't stream anything until the first stops.
Its like the box is reserving a tuner for the local output.

There may be a restriction on it.
I am sure I did this at one stage - not sure which image I was using, also may have been 1 terrestrial and 1 sat channel each.
I'll try and hook up my Amiko over the weekend and see if I can do it.

You should be able to do one stream from each tuner. I have streamed matches from two different tuners at the same time before. The box gets very slow and unresponsive using the remote, it usually needs a reboot to fix but it will stream away if you leave it be. You would be best only use SD channels. You can test your box is configured correctly by pressing record on a satellite channel and changing to another satllite channel.

I managed to stream 2 channels from the Amiko Alien 2+

Using OpenATV 5.3, I streamed 2 sat channels without a problem.
I use homeplugs from the box to the router and the 2 devices that I streamed to were on wifi

Forgot to post back got it working too just make sure the box is in standby or one tuner is tied up for local display. Managed to export the channels to a m3u so can browse and stream from any IPTV player.
