With all thats going on in the world lately it can feel like the world is a very dark and miserable place. After Hours is usually the first place for discussions & news about tragedies and death and it can feel like we're basically all just f*cked. However when you look at what happened in Manchester recently, The community came together, opened up their homes for strangers who were stranded, gave them food, beds, people immediately started donating blood just to try and help in anyway they can.

In a previous job my work used to involve travelling around Ireland and staying overnight in hotels. One time I was having a particularly ****ty day and then when I thought it was over and got to the hotel I was due to stay in I realised I left my place and forgot my overnight bag, when I told the receptionist this (as a passing comment more than anything) she bumped me up and gave me a suite free of charge and it completely turned around my day.

So come on Boardsies let make this the opposite of the stinge thread, I'd love to hear your personal stories of when someone did something nice for you or what you did that was nice, stories of people who were not looking for payback or anything, just genuine niceness that made your day or the world a bit better.

The trivially happy thread has numerous examples.
