Amazon Uk - Beware Shopping Basket!!

Amazon UK have introduced a new (new to me anyway) consumer restriction - You now cannot cancel or delete an item once added to a Shopping Basket.

Previously you could add in item to Shopping Basket and later, if you changed your mind, edit the contents of the shopping basket by removing an item (or indeed all items) by switching the quantity to Zero. Now doing this is is prevented - the quantity ordered can be only be increased upward!!

The only way now to cancel an item is to "proceed to Check Out", place an order and then cancel the order (within 30 minutes). This most unsatisfactory.

Shoppers should BEWARE of Adding Anything to the Shopping Basket because they will not let you cancel it.

There's a delete right under the item...

Ooops ! Didn't see the "delete" word there. Thanks for that.
(Previously I used the Change Quantity to Zero method which is now gone.)
