Toilet Leaking

Woke up this morning to a dripping pipe at back of the toilet. I'd say it started leaking over night as there was a fair bit of water in the floor.

I got the vice-grip and gave it a tighten. This made it worse. So I opened it and replaced the rubber washer with a new one. No luck. I also built up the plastic pipe (see pic) with thread tape. No luck.

So now I'm not sure what to do or why it's leaking. Could the plastic pipe be cracked or the threads wore down?

The plastic threaded section has a hairline crack in it, so the filling valve needs to be replaced.
Most likely from a strain on the supply pipe.
Purchase a Fluidmaster Pro45-B for a more suitable and robust replacement.
