I have a MXQ Pro s905 Quad Core Android TV box (https://tv-android.com) with Kodi 17 installed on it. But the box is not displaying Kodi icon in any of its menu. I have to connect Keyboard and Mouse to the android TV box and then go to Google Play Store each time and the search for Kodi and when it comes up in the search it gives 2 options - Uninstall and Open. Then I have to click "Open" to open Kodi. The Kodi icon is not displayed in My Apps. Is there any way to put the Kodi icon in the Andoid box's main menu or in its My Apps?

Click on the Plus icon (Right of the youtube icon) and that allows you add a shortcut to your home screen.

    Is XBMC listed there perhaps?

Is there an option on screen to go into your actual android menu to see all apps. If so then go there and you will see Kodi, click and hold and there should be an option to move to desktop etc.

There is no option to see all the apps. "My Apps" doesnt list Kodi, but it has Youtube, Google Play Store etc in it.

I was told by some one to use another Android TV launcher. Would it work in my case?

This image has a little android guy down the bottom, i think thats your menu option but you will be able to go into the android subsystem on that box.

Thanks, I would try that (click on that android guy) and let you know whether it worked.

I installed a light weight Android Launcher and Kodi is displayed on the first screen now. Issue sorted !
