Has anyone been to a wedding in both places for comparative purposes ?? I'm undecided between the two although very different. Each has beautiful grounds and a ball room that nicely accommodates a smaller number I.e 130.

Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated !

I've been to both a couple of times. I found the venue and food of a similarly high standard in both and I'd probably aim to base it on location if those are the most important...

I will say that the second day in kilshane can be great- we had card games downstairs and a bbq in the orangerie both times... and the little cottages for accommodation are lovely.

Kilshane just edges it for me but since I'm basing it on the guest accom and second day, you're probably good with either. Sorry if that isn't helpful!

Thank you ChocChip!! Really appreciate the response. I'm lacking the perspective of someone who has been to both venues.

We live 45 mins away from both - so the day after will probably be in the local pub as Kilshane have a room requirement for day 2.

I'm team Kilshane , other half reckons Castlemartyr looks more 5*.

    Thanks again 😊
