Is OFX legit?

    Just wondering if anyone's used/heard of OFX for transferring funds abroad?

    I'm paying for a service online (in instalments) and PayPal's fees are fairly significant. The receiver suggested OFX (a phone app and Australian money transfer service AFAIK) as an alternative but I'm skeptical and not the savviest so said I'd run it by you wise folks on here before jumping!

    Would appreciate any guidance.

    I never used it but all the reviews online looks like a safe way of sending money, I would be worried on the other side the person that you are sending money that's not trying to scam you, not sure how secure you are in case of any problems like with Paypal you could open a dispute.

    Can you send the money by bank transfer?
