Anyone know if you can participate in the AIB flotation through Degiro? Or would you have to use another broker?

They are not one of the 6 brokers AIB are using the handling the sale, you will though be able to buy them from Degiro when they float.

    A belated thanks for that!

On a vaguely related topic: if the media are widely reporting a sale price of around €4.40 why are the currently available share currently quoted at €5.50? It seems to defy logic.

Current share price is wildly distorted and is only based on <0.5% of total shares available in AIB.

Where are you seeing that (what's the ticker? ).

On a related question: anyone know how you add AIB (Irish stock exchange) to Google finance portfolio? I can't find it in the search.
