Book the return leg on the local site as the Irish site seems to price the return leg at ridiculous prices..

    Wowair.us
    WOWair.ca

I got flights from Cork to Toronto for €125 return at the end of this month! :D

All going via Iceland. Return prices are much higher to compensate.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,646 ✭✭✭Del007

Book 1 way on the Irish site and book the return on the .com site

I assume you can't pre-clear at Dublin if the flight stops at KEF?

Dublin - SF for €124 return if you book the flight out through the Irish site and the flight back through the US site. Pack light and you have an incredible bargain get away.

flight was showing and went to make booking but now no flights at all showing. Initially showed 5 seats available now 'something went wrong, could not complete booking'. Oh well

Isn't there an additional €50 each way charge to bring hand luggage?

So that's €224 unless you bring everything in your pockets?

Site had a whoopsie, they're doing maintenance work on it at the moment, give it an hour and check again.

You get a personal item up to 42x35x25cm. Some clever packing and you're sorted. Or you can pay €41 each way for a cabin bag or 57 for a checked bag. A bargain either way.

Yup, just bringing my backpack with me. Have done it before without issue. You just gotta pack smart! :D

Site back now. Am in the middle of booking two seats . With one checked and one cabin bag between us it works out at €243.73 BUT return one way on Wowair.com is $379. Could get Norwegian for €114 each (airport outside NYC) but beginning to think that for us its not worth the saving ...

You get a bag of 42x35x25cm for free. Plenty of space to pack for a short trip.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 7,683 ✭✭✭Subcomandante Marcos

There's one €65 seat left on the 7th of June if someone moves fast. Lots of returns on the .us site for $55 as well.

If you intend on hitting the airport, and then turning straight around again...If they follow that to the letter of the law...A quite a lot of my exes handbags wouldn't fit that criteria

I can pack for 10 days easily with a bag that size.

Or, you can pay €41 each way for a normal cabin bag as well, which is more than enough room, bring it to a grand total of €206 round trip.

I find it amazing that people are taken in like this, then again all you have to do is look to the success of Ryanair.

No worries mate. Obviously it's not for you.. move along now

I, for one, find it an exceptional deal, and will be flying to Toronto (from Cork!) in three weeks time, for €125 return. :)

Also - plug sockets under every seat - thumbs up for that! https://wowair.co.uk/customer-service/faq/board/hey-isnt-there-any-entertainment-board/ - going to stick a few movies on my phone before I head off, sorted! :D

Keep your roll eyes ya bollix :D
I was being serious, but as a 40 odd year old male with offspring...there's isn't a snowballs chance that a bag that size would do me..... if you're a single male/female hitting the city ...it's , most definitely doable imo

Fair enough.. I think once you pack smart it's more than doable. :)

I stumbled across one of these $65 fares earlier in the year, flew Boston to Edinburgh via Reykjavik earlier this week. Only after booking did I discover that, since last year, a carry-on case is not included in the price, so had to shell out almost the original fare. :( They also required those with bags to queue up at the gate prior to boarding to get them tagged; felt like too much of a nuisance (thankfully I was good to go with my bags).

Honestly, this unexpected carry-on charge aside, I was pretty satisfied with the experience. Everything was on-time and transferring in Reykjavik was seamless. There's no inflight entertainment, but plugs by the seats are enough to keep a movie-filled laptop charged for the journey.

I also concur with earlier posters, I think you can be creative and fill a smallish bag with enough clothes for a short trip. And even despite my gripes about the bag charge, ~$110 one-way transatlantic is still pretty fantastic.

Wow air are actually alright. Admittedly, I only flew to Keflavik with them, kinda like Ryanair but I thought they were a little better. They let me book the emergency exit seat at the terminal without extra charge.

Looks that way - and in fact, for what seems to be on offer, their regular prices appear to be very poor.

Is that not 2 separate buses with two separate companies? You would need to budget close to 4 hours for that journey.
