Hi,

Given the recent high interest in the subject id like to start a list of good and bad quality cryptocurrency commentators/information and resources.

This may evolve into a megalist of resources but in the interest of sharing and wishing everyone else interested in crypto currencies well. Just to start things off.

Good exchanges:
Bittrex - Lots of Alt coins, and quick to add new ones
Kraken - Not as many coins but accepts Euros

Bad Exchanges:
Poloniex - Decent UI, but support are completely overwhelmed, and weeks behind on tickets. They have lost coins on me personally, and people have had withdrawals stuck in pending states for weeks.

Exchange
Coinbase.com - Can buy BTC, ETH, LTC for USD/EUR with various payment methods (credit card, SEPA). One of the few exchanges where holdings are stored offline and are insured (but not against personal hacks). Like most exchanges is experiencing v high volume at the moment

Android App
Blockfolio - Personal portfolio for all your coins, updates every second, with charts, gains, history, etc and simple to use

The Cuban

With bitcoin BIP 148 being activated on August the first you really should be running your own node and verifying the blockchain yourself. Dont rely on third party providers like Blockfolio to do this for you, you should be in control of your own coins and private keys.
Learn how to use a paper wallet first and foremost before using any other kind

What's the daily max deposit by credit card anybody has found. I've been using Bitpanda because it's E500, but higher would be better.
