    Hi

Can anyone suggest a solution, I need to move stuff from Chamonix in France but want to avoid having to do the ferry crossing/drive twice. ideally someone would be taking stuff that way and I could drive the van back with my stuff.

Any other solution? I am hoping to do this around the end of June.

    Thanks in advance...

    How much stuff?

I'd say enough to fill a long wheel base transit

Many Irish moving companies will quote you for this. It is called 'groupage' where several sets of contents are taken together on a truck. You could be looking at at least €2000 or so including VAT and insurance.

A French company will not quote you for this - pretty much only Irish firms go to and from Ireland. Firms outside Dublin often give better prices, even if delivery is to Dublin in the end.

Yes I guessed that would be the cost so that's why I'm asking here. If push comes. to shove I'll have to do the return trip but that's what I'm trying to avoid, as I said in the original post.
