    Hello,
We have just moved into a new house. However my wife is not receiving mail, letters are coming back as undelivered. There seems to be a number of postmen working our area. How do we go about telling An Post that we now live at this address. Attaching the eircode hasn't helped.

I don't think that's what the OP is looking for.

Have you a number on your house? I lived in the countryside on a road where none of the houses had numbers or names. What I had to do was post myself a few letters and write "In the white and pink house across from the school" on the address. Didn't take the postman long to figure it out :D

You could also go to your local post office and mention it to them.

exactly i don't want to pay for a redirection service, and we don't have a number on our house, we're out in the country side. I like your suggestion. I might buy a book of stamps and start sending some letters through !

Maybe some day they'll come up with a system of postcodes.

    No...wait.

    Ring your local post office.

We had the same problem, our address was literally "village name, county" so we choose a name for our house put it up on our house, included it in our address & we had no more issues with our mail not getting delivered.
