    Hey all,

Just made a stew in my slow cooker, but when I opened it up most of the liquid was gone.

Anyone have any ideas why this may have happened? I've been using slow cooker for years at this stage, ever encountered the above peoblem

That's never happened to me either, and I can't see how it could happen unless the lid was off or mostly off and it was on high all day. Or if you used way too much barley that would soak up the liquid.
I don't know anything about electrics but could it be that the element is broken and overheating?
