Was there as well, seemed like a simple enough system, except for all the buttercups.

Never been on a farm walk in my life and have seen a few advertised I thought would be interesting.

So, is it open season for anyone to rock up or do you need to be a member of the association organising it.

Yeah simple system done well but he was on great ground. He was taking the low cost system to the extreme I thought and then he said he couldn't justify building extra cattle housing but spent 40k on a dung stead?

If you go organic you kinda have to get used to some weeds about the place.

Most I have went on have been very informative. A few times you will be scratching your head wondering why the farmer is doing something so odd but you'll get a ton of ideas for your home farm.

I'd laugh if a load o lads showed up, looked at you picking the turf for an hour, all the while commenting on how tough a job it is, and how they don't do it anymore...

Then looked at you picking stones for an hour... again commenting on what a ****e job it is, and how they all min-till now...

    And then all fcuked off

    :)

Sometimes lads are funny about drinking on the walk... ;)

Best to just horse a hape o cans into yourself right before you join the walk... :):):)

Edit : although sure isn't everyone happy with bottles of buckfast, isn't it made by monks... yeah, buckfast is what you need for the walk _Brian...
Let us know how it goes ;);)

Lads does anyone know of any national event's for the knowledge transfer coming up? Wouldn't mind doing two this time around. I had a quick scout on Google but couldn't come up with a register of national event's.
