CE scheme and state pension ?

was told that I could this morning but I dont know that its true. When I filled in the forms it said when are you going to retire ? I put in a date . A month later I get offered 52 weeks on a CE scheme ? Is there anyone out there who can confirm that I can work on a CE scheme and claim state pension ?

Age limit: Funding is not provided for CE participants who have reached the qualifying age for a State pension, that is:

66 for those born before 1 January 1955
67 for those born on or after 1 January 1955
68 for those born on or after 1 January 1961
