    Depends on the draw.
Our contractor charges ?1 a bale stacked. All our fields all adjoining the yard so no draw on them, says himself he'd rather not do it.

God that's super value. Say 50 bales, €50. You'd spend the evening pissing about at it with a single bale carrier and burn a nice shot of diesel and they'd take up twice the space in yard.

You couldn't get somebody to do that job round here

Pay right how could anyone live off that.

Might be better to give more info on estimated time involved and how far a draw as mentioned previous.

Overheads such as machinery, trailer if needed, diesel, maintenance, insurance, licence, tax and add more to that.

I won't get out of bed unless I make over €120

Charge by the hour is the only fair way. Too many variables to charge per bale.

No problem paying a man by the hour but what's a fair rate per hour. He will be using his own tractor and bale bale handler.

Then it depends what you're paying for.

If twas a lad with a double bale handler and a loader to stack the bales - 35/hr?

Whereas if twas a lad in a 165, with a single bale handler... Not sure what to pay ;)

Fifty euro per hour plus vat for a 10 bale keltec around here. I'll never again haul bales. He generally leaves within half an hour of the fusion finishing. Loader operator would be easier at it keeping silage pushed up from a self propelled. Fifty bales per hour easily.
