Advice requested on order of work to carry out in house

    Apologies if there was a previous post. We are moving into an 60 year old house in South Dublin in a few weeks. We have been advised by our surveyor to rewire & to change gun barrel radiators. We would also like to change windows, do external insulation and remove a supporting wall between kitchen and dining room.

    Can anyone recommend the best order to carry out the work as we got different answers from two trade people. Also if there is anyone who would like to give us a quote please contact me.

    Do the knock out first, that's the messy, dusty work.
    Do the rads and reword then at similar time.

    Windows and EWI can be done then, maybe windows first so the best air tightness detail can be applied before covering them up.

    I would do it exactly the same. Definitely windows before EWI.

    Thank you for the replies the external insulation installer was pushing for insulation before windows.

    Move windows out
    Support on new grounds fixed outside wall ope
    insulate up to grounds
    Install windows
    Finish insulation reveals & plaster
