I'm travelling to Spain on June 5th and have an Irish passport which expires on august 7th this year, am I ok to travel? Or do I need a new passport? If so I'll have to pay for an emergency one and would rather not 😬😬 some people say I need 3 months validity , some people are saying I don't, help????? Thanks

You don't need 3 months. Check if your airline has any extra rules of its own

as long as you're back before the expiry you're fine, within EU the document only needs to be valid. If you travel outside EU - different countries have different requirements and generally validity varies from 0 to 6 months. This is nothing to do with the airline, airlines are just following rules set out by immigration offices of the countries involved

many are finding that the online passport renewal service is getting them a passport within a week so maybe consider using that.

but if you dont, then you'll still be grand so long as the existing one is still in date.

Yep, only used it a few weeks back and had my new passport and passport card within a week or 10 days. Great service
