That time of year again when your constantly swapping implements if you only have one tractor, so anyone have any recommendations for a quick attach on 3 point linkage? Dromone, OCE etc. Very different systems so anyone any experience using them?

Using Dromone....cant fault it only its a little more in the pricey side. Some of the other I would have seen meant welding brackets to implements, and weld on load carrying implements was a no no here anyway..

I've a bad back with lower disc wear. Paining me now after putting in an old Vicon fert spreader this morning. You'd be wrestling with it getting it on.

The old man sets everything up on pallets. It makes life a lot easier putting on things but a pain in the arse with them spotted around as he has a tendency to drop machines anywhere except where they should be.

Park it on top of a super single tyre , and it's up a bit , and has a bit of flexibility, for fine tuning getting it on.

I do have it up on pallets so it could be worst. It's the bending over and pulling that hurts my back.

I'm meaning to go look at one of these with a while but it seems to be a good solution without having to weld anything onto any implements.

I had the Dromone one for a few years but it was a PITA without a hydraulic top link.

Hydraulic top link is an absolute must, even without any of these attachments..cheap, but so handy

Is there some safety valve you can get now to stop an implement falling down if the hydraulic top link fails?

That would be my big concern with the hydraulic top link, a hose bursting and spreader and 1 ton of fert in ****e on the ground.

Just make sure it has a check valve on the Retract side (B port). Even if the hose breaks the valve will still hold it.

After seeing it on the gunthering thread I put castors from Lidl onto a fairly heavy euro pallet for the spreader. Leaves it very easy to get on and off and the castors mean you can adjust it without serious effort.

I'd love one of those OCE linkages but the funds just wouldn't stretch that far atm.

Yea, ours is on two 13" tyres and it makes a huge difference, bit of wiggle in the tyres.

I have the dromone system. Would not be without it. It's not cheap though but at least you can feel where the money is when you go to lift it!

With the Abbey spreader I have, the lower linkage bar can be detached from the spreader and hooked onto the tractor linkage first (Easy attach). Then just back in with tractor and lift bar up into holding slot and swing down the holding brackets. A blessing when putting on the spreader.

I was strongly considering the Dromone system last year. Went and looked at it and all but price is just crazy.

    if I can remember its
Tractor Male - €350 plus vat
hydraulic top link with check valve €180 +
    bolt on implement female - €350 +
weld on implement female €150 +
implement female make to suit each implements pins €200 plus
(Dromone is about 4 mile up the road so was an option for me)

but in fairness €1500 wouldn't go to far.

Instead I bought a teagle A frame with a weight box 2 weeks ago . local lad will make me up all the implement females I need from "U" channell and ill have them that it can be put on the pins, not welded on. Strength shouldn't be an issue as loads of power harrows and one pass and also front mounted mowers us the teagle version

Dromone looks slightly better made, but when weighting up what you get for your money it loses out.

I have been looking at that same one, I like the idea of not needing to have a unit on each piece of machinery. Does anybody have one or know if they are heavy stuff like would they take a 1000 litre sprayer or 1 tonne fertiliser spreader that's probably the heaviest we would be putting on the back end.
