Family holiday in Albufeira

Hi. Myself, my wife and 3 small kids aged between 11 and 4 are staying at the ourlantico apartments near the strip in Albufeira in July. I was talking to someone who said the area is full of stags and hens? Has anyone stayed here before? Is it suitable for a family? Thanks

Parents are buying a house near there (in Vilamoura). It's just another typical resort really, a lot of English holiday there so it does have that image.
