Shared Mains Connections

    Hi,

I'm living in an ex-corporation house in Crumlin, D12, which was built around 70 years ago.

I'm doing some internal pipework changes, with the water turned off at the stopcock on the mains on the public pavement. However, as a result my neighbour has no water.

Is my neighbour supposed to have a separate stopcock connection to the mains? I'm not sure if it once did, but then when garden was paved over it was linked in. The house is rented out at present so occupant does not know. Each house along the row appears to have a stopcock out front (I think)

    Hi thewiseowl12,

    Thanks for your query.

There is no requirement for customers to have separate connections. However, if you wish to apply for a separate connection you can find out more information here.

    Thanks,
    Siobhan
