Gardai have identified an islamic terrorist cell operating in Dublin. This is just the tip of the iceberg to the real the threat which exists in Ireland. We are very much at risk of Muslim terror and this notion that Ireland is of no significance certainly does not ring true.

The Mosques in Ireland are mainly funded by Saudi Arabia who fund terrorism all over the world, they spread their racist wahhabi hate and consider all infedels to be non-believer filth who should be eradicated. There is so much hate in their book of peace the Koran that it is really alarming.

There has been a deafening silence of condemnation from the Islamic mosques here towards terrorism and the events of Manchester really brings it home to us. We are no longer safe and our Govt must act to secure our borders and our people before we too become the latests victims in the global war against infeldels by Islamic terrorists.

16000? where are you getting that number from? I can't say about future refugees that will arrive but a lot of the ones that are here so far have been displaced since the start of the Syrian Civil War in 2011 and living in camps, chances of any of them being terrorists is very slim.

Pascal Donohue is where I got it from, 5000 plus family members coming after brings it to 16000 according to what he said in an interview.

Yeah Germany and Sweden probably thought the chances were slim as well and we know how that turned out.

There was a recently retired special branch person on Liveline who said they were tapping phones of suspects but unfortunately they had nobody who could translate what they were saying

Fair enough, I didn't realise he had said there would be 16000, can't find it anywhere online.

I'm just going by what a friend who has worked in medical care for migrants has told me, the screening process for allowing refugees into Ireland is very stringent, as I'd imagine it is everywhere in Europe after what happened in Sweden and Germany. What happened in Germany in 2015 is never going to happen in Europe again.

First part of your post is fine. Second part is just xenophobic generalisations.

You're welcome to discuss the recent arrests and the threat of terrorism to Ireland in Politics and Politics Café forums. I suggest you cut out the generalisations before you do that though.
