Hi I hope this post is ok for here, I couldn't find a funeral section.

So someone I knew from my teenage years passed away, I knew her family well. I live away and found out after the funeral.

I always stress myself out when writing a sympathy card. I over think it.

    Is it ok to say:

I am so sorry to hear (Name) passed away.

    Is passed away ok?

I then will say some fond memories I have and that I'm thinking of the whole the family.

I guess I'm trying to avoid saying, passed away, died, etc

    Any advice is greatly appreciated.

    Thank you

    No worries thanks for reply.

It's one of those ones that I guess is easy to overthink.
