Bit of advice needed. If I change from PAYE status to self employed, do I get a tax credit. I see my last tax credit was 3300 per year - is there any allowance given?
Also, do I have to change my employment status with Revenue?

    thanks,

There's an earned income tax credit you get instead.

Yes, you need to inform Revenue of the change. You will now be self employed, obliged to submit returns of income. You have to register yourself as such by completing a form TR1
