Hi, just wondering if anyone here bought a Hyundai Tucson executive recently. Looking at a 172 and getting a cash price of 30k. Hows that sound?

€30k? Am I missing something..the price on their website is €36.5 k for Executive, presumably that doesn't include metallic paint or delivery costs.
Its also the top selling car in the country at the moment I believe, so negotiating €7k or so off the price seems a touch ambitious to me.

No the executive is 30995 + the usuals. Just wondering if anyone bought one recently and what price they paid. 36995 is listed as the executive plus model... Pricing starts at 26995 for basic model.
    Thanks

They have a scrappage scheme, did you asked about that? Well, it's not really scrappage, as they sold my old banger, but as far as you're concerned, it is.

Yea, you got me thinking now. They originally said the price with the metallic and delivery charges was 32750 and would give 5k for the trade in. (27750) Now doing a cash price of 30k and offering 2250 on a trade in. So the 4k scrappage is off the "full" price, not the cash price. Doesn't sound right really... Normal enough practice I assume

Just checked the website... Up to 4000 scrappage. But they are giving 5 years free servicing ......

both scrappage and free servicing? What I can say is that now the RRP is about 4k lower than a year ago when I got mine. I'm not sure if the RRP includes the scappage, if so then it's a pretty sneaky way to make up a price list...it definitely wasn't included before.

30k straight deal price with servicing. 27500 trading in with car worth 4k easy and servicing, not a scrappage deal by the looks of it, well not getting 4k off anyways. So looks ok so?

    Looks like a good deal!

It's like buying anything. You need to compare the price against a few other dealers offering the same car otherwise you have no frame of reference to know whether it's a good deal or not.

So would the executive model been 34k last year?

No, sorry, I had a look over my old notes. It was 32350 delivery included (that is, cash price, all you need to pay to drive it out of the dealers), I've got 4000 scrappage, so the end price was 28350. That and considering that my "scrapped" car was worth about 500, all in all the cost was 28850.

Thanks for the info Cordell. Looks like I better shake a leg on donedeal and try sell the trade in. Once I get more than 2500 for it I'm winning.
I dont think I'll bother ringing to see if he would apply the 4000 scrappage on the 30k cash price for my trade in. The 4000 would be off the delivery n related charges inflated price...I assume.

You need to have a car to trade in to get the scrappage discount.
Yeah scrappage is against the list price (where delivery is €1k on top of RRP)
