Jim O' Neill Memorial Shoot Sunday 18th June 2017.
Well the day has come and gone and friends old and new came together to remember Jim Jnr and his love of Benchrest Shooting.
The weather was fabulous, no wind - just the way Jim hated it :-)
The hosts, Harbour House, Dee, Toby, Tommy, Maura, Elle, thank you all for allowing us the use of your facilities on the day and for feeding the masses. I'm sure they all appreciated it.
To our shooting friends across in the Gallery Rifle Range - thank you for coming to this to lend your support to a great cause.
And then you go and do something even more - you donated €750 of your competition takings from Saturday to our fundraising. It was totally unexpected and more than welcome and we will be letting the beneficiary, Epilepsy Ireland, know of your donation. So thank you so much for this again GRPAI.
Another donation that was received came from Paul Hayes through his company to the value of €500. Thank you Paul. Again so appreciated.
Over €2,500 was raised in all and this be forwarded to Epilepsy Ireland.
Along with the shooters, we have to thank the RO's (Jim O'B & Anthony), the stats keepers (Ged, Paul & Des). Jim O'Brien for the lovely plaque which he made in Jims' memory. (Can be seen on Range 2)
Marianne. Thank you for presenting the Memorial Crystal Trophy to Paul Cassidy and all the medal winners too, 2nd Sean Taylor and 3rd Paul Hayes. 1022BR - 1st Declan Byrne, 2nd Mark Nolan, 3rd Anthony O'Shea.
Most importantly of all, we'd like to thank Jim Snr. Thank you for letting us do this in honour of your son. We wouldn't have had it any other way.
Jim Jnr will always be part of us.
    Sharon
