Bought some ewe lambs off Clifford last year. Nice sheep and very helpful to deal with.

Slightly off topic, but how are lads finding their Llyens to work with ? Personally I like em. have a ram here for the last two seasons, but only now is the breed beginning to flow through the flock. Nice easy sheep to work with. Good mothers , clean, but can lack flesh and sometimes a bit small. what do others think ?

Used Llyen ram last year so will see how the ewe lambs get on with ram this year. Gonna use Llyen sire again so will have plenty Llyen blood around the place next year. Hopefully they'll work out as you're finding them.

Might sell ram lambs as stores. Just to give us time to concentrate on getting ewe lambs right for ram. Don't have time to try finish maternal-type ram lambs.

getting on great here have half bred lleyns as ewes bred in the flock from suffolk and texel x ewes , not too big which is good but still keep some suffolk blood in the flock for size. have already slaughtered about 5 or 6 lleyn ram lambs born in feb, dont find any bother finishing them. never anybother lambing, great milk docile animals, prob perfect for outdoor lambing
