Price smashed in early doors to 9/2 best price now, but should win in a pretty poor handicap. Catterick 5:15.

Can only get peanuts on overnight if it was mine the handbrake would be on tomorrow since people have shot their load this evening and collapsed the price.

If it was yours you'd take it on a near 20 hour return trip across the Irish sea to 'put on the handbrake'? It's always very easy to spot the people who've never been involved in horse racing on this forum.
Price will drift out during the day before coming back in close to the off.

FB, its a maiden, it does look a poor one, Varian's might be a danger getting the age allowance

3/1 best-price now, so obviously expected to run well. Trainer has had 2 winners and 2 seconds from last 4 runners (all ridden by today's jockey), so stable in good form. Going a long way (and a lot of expense) for a mickey-mouse £2200 maiden. Everything points to this horse winning today.

Your stomach just drops when they drift like that right before the off.

Unfortunately that's horse racing folks and even the trainers get it wrong from time to time.

If I took it across the Irish Sea to land a touch the last thing I'd want is eejits getting stuck in the night before. You can't get two bob on overnight all it does is marks the bookies card and collapses the price and if you can get a decent bet on overnight it means you haven't a clue.

100%. All you do is either follow through and suck it up or withdraw the horse. They followed through and it didn't pay off unfortunately.

Or stop the horse! The horse drifted like a barge just before the off. Was 5+ on Betfair. It was a bike race. If it was fancied it would have been Sub 3. Plenty trainers bring horses over there for a spin.

Mearu 8/1 Leopardstown 8.05.Bolger has known he was running this filly over the wrong trip ( big drifter on all runs to date). She will improve big time for this huge step up in trip and her run at Gowran was seriously eye-catching.If fancied this evening then she is a massive player and no doubt looking at her back pedigree she will jump a hurdle in time.Just to add the Curragh have a given weather warning at 6am this morning regarding heavy rain due to fall during the night and tomorrow so overpriced soft ground horses will be the key especially on Sunday.
