Starting as a sole trader

    Hi
    I am currently a PAYE worker, but am hoping to commence work on a contract basis soon, where I will invoice the company.

    How do I register for income tax?

    Revenue's website advises me to go onto myAccount homepage, and click on Tax Registration.

    Except when I log on, there is no section called 'Tax Registration' and I cannot find out additional information on their website to help me.

    Help appreciated, thanks.

    You need to fill out a Form TR1

    You may need to register for VAT also
