€20 a month, unlimited data - I'm guessing you call abroad a lot to be paying €45?

5e a month with Virgin (it will be 25e in a few months) for my mobile.

I think we pay maybe 40 a month for internet and a landline comes with it. We use it sometimes for calls abroad as there are minutes included for free in the deal.

I am lucky to have my phone bills, land and mobile, covered by my company. So no idea how much I spend.

Billpay... Was €25 per month (maybe a few quid more if out of bundle costs like Google Play purchases) for unlimited calls/texts/data, then went up to €30 with 3's price hikes.

Switched networks.. back to €25 again for everything and a better signal too.

Back in the late 90s/early 00s though my bill would sometimes be 150+

No landline. Who needs one these days unless a business?

Prepay 20 a month, all calls, texts and 15gb of data I will never use...

Used to pay €93 p.m but then Eir tried to increase the price which gave me the option to cancel the contract so I did. Now I pay €20 p.m. prepay. Get all my calls and 15GB data and use the app for webtexts. If I go over 15GB I might get an add on but that's rare enough, has happened once or twice.

Work pays for it. I don't bother having a separate number for personal calls.

PAYG. €5 every six months and then only because they lock it if you don't top up. No reception near home at all.

Land Line is on a package for €50 a month including broadband and unlimited anytime national calls with 60 minutes to mobiles.

    Too much.
Actually just signed a new contract with Vodafone last Monday, wondering is there a cooling off period.. because I didn't do my research properly beforehand (idiot, I know) and now see I could've gotten a better deal

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 827 ✭✭✭pxdf9i5cmoavkz

€20 every second month (€120 per year). I use the saved €20 to buy 2GB worth of data on the "off" months which usually lasts till the end of the month.

    Cellular contracts, never again.

    Cancellation

To cancel the contract, you must inform the trader of the decision to cancel using either the prescribed cancellation form, or some other method, before the cooling-off period expires. There is no requirement to give a reason for cancelling. If there is a dispute, it is up to you to prove the cancellation was carried out correctly.

You must send the goods back within 14 days of informing the trader of the cancellation. You have to pay for the cost of returning the goods unless you were not informed before ordering that you would have to bear the cost.

That is good for when the product/service is bought over the internet.
But not if bought in a store. And not if the phone it'self has been opened and used as the vendor cannot resell a used phone.

I could pay zero as I have a work phone but I have my own phone at 20 a month PAYG. Unlimited data and stuff.

I cant stand having my work phone on when I'm not working because I WILL get stupid unnecessary calls and emails out of work hours or when I'm off.

+1.. which is why I've had 2 phones for over a decade now - my own personal phone and the work one.

That's not to say I don't often end up answering emails and the occasional call out of hours, but I'll always keep the 2 physically separate anyway.

20 euro a month PAYG. Unlimited data. Some people pay crazy amounts for billpay.

Mobile - €60 a month with Vodafone.. contract finally up in December will be going cheaper :D

Unlimited everything 22GB of data and free roaming

€20 monthly for free calls and texts to any network. Think I may have free weekend calls to landlines too.

I use almost no data so that cuts costs a wee bit.

£10 auto top up - giffgaff

    2gigs of data
Not sure of mins/texts as I barely use any

€15 a month, unlimited calls and texts to mobiles and landlines,30gb data

Company SIM card, my own Lumia 950.

I was offered an iPhone 5s or a Samsung A3 at the time, never liked either Android or iOS.

I have a Lumia 930 too on ThreePay for €20 a month, but I'm using it less and less, still handy for listening to music though without tearing through the battery on the 950.

10 a month with 48. 1GB data, 60 landline mins, 300 any network mobile mins & unlimited any network SMS. Have wifi at home, work and on the bus so never really hit the 1GB. Really good value imo.

60 sterling with vodafone coz I wanted an iPhone and didn't want to pay the 600 squid price-tag upfront. Have paid for about five of them in the year and a half I've been on this contract, what with all the ridiculous add-ons they charge for on top of my monstrous monthly bill. They saw me coming.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 18,299 ✭✭✭✭The Backwards Man

Ten years ago it was working out at 3-400 a month with roaming, now paying 19 Euro a month with roaming included

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 114 ✭✭Wardling

25e a month....unless there's some good footy on and I'm streaming the games in work. Usually fork out a fiver extra for a data top up for the month.

Rolling monthly contract with a free phone at the start. Basic htc...does the job.

    €35 a month

Vodafone. €20.00 a month and I can call any number in Eire and talk for a month. Non stop. I've, literally, spent whole afternoons, chatting to my mate (Who's on Meteor, I think?)

I also get 'Web Text'. So I can sit here and type out my life story to friends, for them to receive as a string of texts.

And I get internet access. No idea how much. I'm only away from this machine a few hours a week and have been known to google the spelling of a crossword answer :)

Mad thing is; I used to be slinging about a tenner a week into the damn thing. Just to ring the odd taxi and maybe make the odd, hurried, call to somewhere.

Pay €30.00 a month and I could make UK's ears bleed too! No bugger to ring there though.

£45/month - near the end of a 2 year contract on a Samsung Galaxy S5 with 3 UK and I pay for Spotify premium through my phone bill as well.

I'm about €20 per month pay as you go.

Where are people getting all these cheap €20/30 per month phone deals? I don't know much about phones and contracts, can someone send me some good links please? What are the catches and fine print I should know about?

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 16,066 ✭✭✭✭omb0wyn5ehpij9

25 quid a month on a sim only 30 day plan

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 137 ✭✭Madagascan

I'm in the UK so £23 for unlimited data, 200 minutes and 30gb of tethering with is useful as I have no broadband at home.

I pay £9 a month for three other accounts
giving 4gb and unlimited minutes .

    All on 3 mobile.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,462 ✭✭✭projectgtr

€20 a month Meteor PAYG unlimited calls and texts with 15Gb 4G roaming included from next month too. Does me fine, I won't be going bill pay again.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 8,722 ✭✭✭nice_guy80

    10 euro a month

All mobile calls, texts and some data
I'd begrudge giving any company any more

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,328 ✭✭✭Mezcita

    UK. Dual sim phone.

12G data sim (3 mobile. Use 1 gig a month)
Talk mobile sim for calls. 10p for 60 minute call.

Total spend for the whole of last year was £35.
