Does anyone know how long Revenue take to make a valuation when the car is not on the system? Getting close to the 30 days now.

That's far too long, they got back to me the 3rd working day later. Ring them up asap.

I didn't really explain very well, I had to cancel the first VRT appointment, and the next appointment they had was last Monday, so it's only been 2 working days gone so far, but I'm near to the 30 day limit now.

It's only an issue if I don't hear back this week. At the centre they weren't very clear on how I would be contacted either.

For me they sent an email, and also a text on the same day, then a letter came 2 or 3 days later. How close are you to the 30 days? I'd say they'll get back to you tomorrow hopefully.

The text should say to ring them and they'll give you the price over the phone, but they should have it in their system after this too so you should be able to check online.

Thanks. 30 days on the 29th (next Monday) so hopefully will hear from them tomorrow. If not I'll give them a call tomorrow evening.

They had similar models on the system, just not with that engine, so can't imagine there would be a whole lot to do.

You should get it by then I'd say, just book it back in as soon as you get the estimate.

As far as I know I just have to pay once the valuation comes in.

Revenue have to contact the car manufacturer with the VIN to see what spec it left factory with in order to put a valuation on it. This can take anything upto 2 working weeks depending on how responsive both Revenue and the car manufacturer are.

Well, 2 days for me anyway, got a call today. Price was about what I expected also.
