Amount of Green space needed in new estates

    Hi,
    A new estate is going up near my. 100's of houses very little green space. Wondering is there any sort of planning guideline, recommendation ref this I can quote in an objection? No allowances for overflow parking either.

    Area is Fingal CC.

    It depends. Dublin City usually look for 10-15 Sq. M per bed space for infill development. But for large estates this can be reduced taking into account the large public open spaces that are provided.

    Each LA will deal with each site a little differently. There is no hard and fast rule.

    Parking standards usually allow for visitors etc
    How many units are there proposed compared to how many parking spots?
    Are there on street parking or private driveways.

    The development plan will provide guidance on min. areas of public open space and parking. It may also reference other guidance docs etc.
