Likelihood of getting dole.

So 2015 I wasnt in this country so I paid no tax, so I will have to get means tested.

So I have quite a large amount of money in the bank (more than 20k, less than 50k), most of which I was planning to use to invest into a new business, but I would be 6 months away from even getting this launched.

Would I qualify? Should I qualify? Am I a dickhead to even ask? Rent is quite high and not sure how long living expenses and business expenses would last.

Cash over €20k is means tested...
First €20,000 Nil
Next €10,000 €1 per €1,000
Next €10,000 €2 per €1,000
Balance €4 per €1,000

So if you had €50k then €30k of it would result in...
€193-€10 (first 10k)-€20(2nd 10k)-€40(3rd 10k) = €123 a week you should qualify for.
