LHS wiper not working

I'm driving a 05 S40, the passenger side wiper is no longer working, I can move the wiper with my hand so it's just not connecting to the motor underneath it.

The only problem is that (I haven't starting taking things apart) it looks like there is a lot of parts to be moved to access this.

If it's a broken motor or link, is it an easy fix.

It's very likely the link that has come apart.
    Easy fix.

    Here is one solution

I would remove the arm first and see is the spindle rotating....sometimes they strip the splines underneath. If it is not rotating then uou have to start looking further

If the linkage has just popped off the ball joint then you can get wiper linkage repair clips on ebay and they are very effective at holding the socket on the ball as it were.
The cable tie fix usually won't last long usually the distance between the two bars increases and decreases as they work . So if you have it tight enough when they are close then the ties will be stretched as they move apart and will soon break.
However , as advised above , you need to see what has happened - and buying SH parts can be a bit of a gamble as they could soon develop the same fault .

Have one of those repair clips keeping my wipers working for 3 years now and its still doing the job.
