Used Audi A3 - Audi Cork

    Hi,

I'm in the market of buying a used car at the moment.
I have been to Audi Cork today, to check out a 141 1.6 TDI SE A3. From the test drive and doing a layman visual inspection everything seems fine, except some minor surface rust just below the front passenger door.
The car's advertised value is at €21k, but has been brought down to €20k. The mileage on the car is ~60000 km.
There is a 1 year mechanical/electrical parts warranty by the dealer.
Do you think that's a fair price for an A3 with that mileage (3.5years old)?
Should I get the car inspected by a mechanic as well before considering buying it?

    Cheers

Price is about right for an Audi dealer to be fair.

Surface rust on a 141 car ???? Was it damaged and painted badly ? Don't touch it, plenty of more fish in that sea.

I was also going to comment on the surface rust, on a 3 year old car?? I'd be asking the dealer about that.

Might be a bit of rouging on the underside jacking point of something. I doubt it's the actual door panel or door shut. Am thinking along same lines as ye though.
