My colleague has puppies and I've been offered one :D
I'm very lucky in that I can take my current springer to work every day and the new puppy would also be welcome so just have to plan it well
As I am able to see the puppies daily me and sadie(springer)are able to meet them and handle them. Any tips on making a smooth addition before we even choose the pup and take home ?
Also will now have 2 dogs in the car travelling. Madness eh :P

Bringing your dog to work - wow!
Bringing a springer to work - wowowowowow!
Bringing a second dog to work - wowowowowowowowowow!
Bringing a puppy to work - speechless!
How will anyone get any work done?!?!
    Lucky you!

How old will the puppy be when you get it? Bitch/dog? Breed? Is Sadie well socialized (with other dogs)? How old is Sadie?

    I'm really lucky I know. :D
Sadie is just turned 2 and it's actually her sister that had the pups
She is with 2 other dogs during the day and when it rains or she gets bored (not a lot though) she sits beside my desk in her bed

I have the choice of either bitch or dog puppy and was thinking bitch as sadie really is very easy going but would be happy for advice tips on that.
    Breed is springer
And would be 8 weeks or so when ready to leave.

Def go for a male. A female/female combo can be a recipe for disaster, so if at all possible id recommend taking a male over a female.

will go for a male so.
Sadie sleeps upstatirs ,I'm thinking of putting the puppy in the crate in the kitchen
would this pose a problem ?

I think it would be a little unfair to have one on it's own when it knows the other is upstairs. They would be great company for each other if kept together and would probably settle much better when kept with each other.

yes that's kind of what I was thinking
Sadie is upstairs as she kept barking in the middle of the night but I could put her back down was thinking the crate in kitchen is easier for the pup containment and access to outside faster
