    Hi

I am on the look out for a car the last few months and settled on a certain make and close enough model but the best ones are all up north or in the UK

Is there any trustworthy garage in county cork that sources cars in the UK for you?

I did a google search and a few came up JRC Motors is one just wondering if anyone has experience with him or others in cork.

    Thanks

is there no way you can buy up north yourself ? always think its better to buy direct.
I have heard of JRC also , but don't know of any long established dealers who import.

O ya always better to buy direct and I could buy private up north but its just if anything went wrong "let the buyer beware" moto comes in.
Like you NCT it within a few weeks of changing plates so if i got from a car sourcing garage they might cover any repairs etc

yes know what you mean , its just I see a lot of people from cork or wherever buying uk cars from dealers as far as Dublin and Donegal - some operating from portacabins and with no track record.
would rather buy from established dealer up North or UK than many of the dealers selling imports.
Colm Lindsay in Newry might source cars ? he seems to take trade ins and sell loads of cars to Louth and the south in general. Think he might have a southern business set up so he can do what a southern dealer could do - register cars etc.

I reckon any advantage in price or spec. you may have gotten by finding a car in the UK or NI will have been eroded or even eliminated by the time another dealer has had the car pass through their hands.

just remembered Pat and Jason Ryan motors in Youghal where I live - sell and source uk cars .
They were Kia dealers for many years but only lost franchise due to not building new premises.
Met Pat - seems a straight up fella and they sell a lot locally so if they sold dodgy cars they would get bad reputation.

O ya totally get you price will be a bit extra for the garage service to look and find a car.
But it be just handy to have a few months warranty.
Anyway i know the ball park figure the car i want makes so if they are quoting lotto numbers ill do it myself

    http://www.deniscullinane.com/

They seem to bring a few in but load the €€€'s on top in typical style
Had a look earlier this year but ended up going for one two myself.

Might be worth a chat though.

did you try Pat Ryans or Rigneys ?

don't know whose behind Midleton motors but hasn't been open long and not a professional set up.
think Denis Cullhane deals mostly in irish cars - see a lot of cars from his place.
