Changing a black and white colour scheme and removing wall plaster work

    Hello,

we went Sale Agreed on a house where the previous owner had... let's say a very unique taste. The whole house is in a very stinging Black-white colour scheme (will attach pictures).
We want to change that because the work was done very well and it's something you can keep but the black throughout needs to go. I'm wrecking my head on how we could do this.
My stepfather is from a trade and gave me some useful advice but I really need some input. We'd prefer to change all of the current black to a light, warm gray tone.

Also the entrance of the living room was closed and the previous owner build in a shelf in the most hideous pebble-whateverthatshouldbe optic. We want to remove that and open the entrance (it's wired for light too) and the same thing is above the fireplace and stove.

Who should I get in, how to solve that?

I'll provide a link with an album.
