    I'm 182cm (shy of 6ft) 75kg 32" waist, 33" inseam and 38" chest. I wear size L in Castelli clothing.

I think XXL would be way to loose on you, especially the shoulders.

I'm 189cm/6'2, 34cm waist, 35cm inseam, 90kg and wear XXL in Volo and Evoluzione. Snug

The advice with Castelli always seems to be to go up a size, but I think what people forget when they say this is that Castelli is supposed to be a snug fit. I wear large in other brands, and stick to large in Castelli, the fit is noticeably tighter, but that's the way it's meant to be.

If you're buying online just make sure you're allowed return them. And if possible, try on a pair in a bricks and mortar shop somewhere first.

If you've not had Castelli shorts before it's a shot in the dark as all brands have different fits and all bodies are different - even for the same height and weight.

Definititly up a size n Castelli. I wear medium, even small in some other makes, but have to go to L in Castelli, have 4 or 5 pairs and all L. I tried to get into a medium out in b2r one day and while I could get almost to my waist I could not get the straps over my shoulders .

Surely all bibs are meant to be tight. If the other brands are looser in the same size it more suggests you should be moving down a size in those.

I'm similar to this, 188cm, 33/34" waist, 33" inseam. I just got my first pair of Castelli's last week, went for XL and they are definitely the best fitted and comfortable bibs I have bought to date.

True, they should all be tight, I just find all Castelli clothing to be a tighter fit than others. Iv'e tried going up a size in both bibs and jerseys with Castelli, but the XL is definitely too big. Horses for courses I suppose....unless.... I'm really a medium?!

Many thanks for all the advice , best price I found online was with cycle-tribe (€95)who happened to be dublin based. A quick call and gave them my details and they recommended the xl size , couldn't have been more helpful , allowed me a warehouse pick up and quick try on. Highly recommend them for value and service.
No connection just a satisfied customer.
