Has anyone cleared a UK sterling cheque in Bank Of Ireland lately.

    I went to lodge a UK sterling cheque in BOI. They have sent it to the foreign cheque collections department. Could take up to 4 to 6 weeks to clear. Value > 2000 pounds. Has anyone done this lately and what was the actual real clearing time frame?

    How long did it take to clear after?
