    Hi,
My first degree was from GMIT and I got an average final year grade of 64%, they awarded me a 2.2 - this is about 10 years ago.
Has the classification system changed ever? I see from their website 64% is a 2.1 - it held me back in some respects as certain postgraduate courses required a 2.1.

I didn't question it at the time but did query my results.  I wanted to do a postgrad related to this degree now and their preferred grade is 2.1.
Anybody able to tell me more? Any recent GMIT students?
    Thanks!
