FM/Sky eye connections

    Hi,

    Hoping for some guidance.

    Sky box (old powered RF out) in the attic
    Sat feed and terrestrial aerial into box
    Box feeds 2 TV (kitchen/bed) via amplifier

    All that works fine but I have an old tuner in the kitchen and would like to feed both it and TV with sky eye still working.

    If I plug the current feed into either the TV or tuner they each work perfect (high signal) but if I use a splitter it doesn't work out.

    With a power pass splitter it only works for the TV with the TV side on "IN" and feed on "OUT". Unfortunately the radio signal doesn't improve in the other out, if you know what I mean.

    What can I do?

    What's the frequency range for the splitter?

    Why are you using it with the feed plugged into 1 of the outs?

    I wasn't at first. It didn't work the other way around so tried it that way and it worked with the TV!

    Maybe it only passes power from 'out' to 'in', & the Sky eye needs to be powered on to pass the signal?

    If so, can you move the eye upstream of the splitter?

    you're right. Each side has an arrow saying power pass and pointing from out to in.

    So I guess I need a power pass going the other direction?

    Sorry just revisiting your point, I was thinking the eye was the end of the line but of course I can plug it in at the wall instead, then split. Will see how it goes tomorrow.
