Has anyone any idea how Leo Varadkar (as likely next Taoiseach) is on EV's / Renewables etc ? Any previous statements by him on these that we are aware of? Any reasons to be hopeful ?

Well he enjoys his cycling, so that's a start..

    Actually, in here: https://campaignforleo.ie/wp-content/uploads/2017/05/TAKING-IRELAND-FORWARD.pdf

It says: We will make Ireland a global leader in GreenTech,
dramatically increase our production of renewable
energy in consultation with local communities, incentivise
the purchase of electric vehicles and hybrids and double
investment in our greenways and cycling facilities

    Green cents make sense!

My point is he has been shown to be an animated liar when his ambitions are laid out before us. He was passionate in his delivery of not paying another cent and that there would be renegotiation. Coveney seems to have more substance, but he would be a weak leader imo.
